We stumbled on to the Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge, while on a recent trip to Tappahannock, for another project I am working on. For most of the afternoon, we were looking for a place to shoot the sunset over the Rappahannock River, on the East side of the river, with little luck. We took a chance that there was water and a clear view to the west, in the refuge, and we got really lucky.
Hindsight is 20/20, after doing a bit of Google Maps surfing, after we got home, I found what looks like it might be a good location for a future trip.
